Observe Intently The Birds Of Heaven

Hello again, everyone! I pray you and your family are still faring well during this coronavirus pandemic. Even before I had all of this extra time on my hands, one of my favorite things to do was birdwatching. I have about four feeders in our front yard. I don't keep them all full of seed; however, I have found that just like people, birds sometimes favor certain food over another. The seed "my" birds seem to like the most are the Stack'ms cakes. They come in a variety of flavors. I purchase mine at Walmart as well as the feeder.

Lots of varieties of birds feed at my feeder. One of my favorites to watch are the tufted titmice. Cardinals, doves, sparrows, finches, chickadees, thrashers--I love them all!

And just like us, our feathered friends need fresh water not only to drink but to bathe, also. To make a bird bath, I bought a simple, inexpensive, ceramic flower pot saucer and placed it on a cheap plantstand (all purchased at my favorite store, Walmart).

There's also nothing better than to wake up to the cheerful melodies of birds singing. Even hearing them sing anytime throughout the day is therapeutic. As a matter of fact, research indicates that listening to the sound of birds can help lower stress and fatigue, in addition to helping combat anxiety.

So, the next time you're out and about or just inside your home, take a moment to stop, look and/or listen at these beautiful creatures God has blessed us with that add sunshine to our lives.
