The Beginnings Of Spring

Hello, nature lovers!

This morning when I stuck my head outside our front door to get a quick feel of the temperature before going out, I caught a glimpse of this little purple, white and yellow beauty in one of my flower beds!!! It's a crocus, a flowering perennial plant in the iris family. I could not help but smile and thank our Almighty Creator for blessing us with such an abundance of natural beauty. And on top of that, I had planted this tiny bulb with my own two hands and this beautiful, magnificent little flower had sprung from it. I am still in such awe!!!

Late last year, I planted over 100 bulbs of various flowers (crocuses, tulips, daffodils, etc.) in my flower beds, and I have been anxiously and eagerly waiting for them to start sprouting from beneath the winter soil. This evening, the crocus was completely open, displaying its bands of vibrant colors from within.

Eager to see if any of the bulbs in my other flower bed had burst forth through the soil, I quickly went and took a peek, and viola'!!! There it was--the green tip of another bulb protruding from the damp, moist earth!!!

I am so excited that I just had to share my wonderful news with you!!! I can't wait to see what the remainder of my bulbs will do. You know I'll keep you posted.
