Hello, everyone! Hope you're having a terrific Saturday!

You know, a good way to start off each day great is to reflect on God's Word, even if it's only one verse. As part of my spiritual routine, this morning, I read my 2018 Examining the Scriptures Daily.

Today's text is Psalm 55:22: "Throw your burden on Jehovah, and he will sustain you." Isn't it so comforting to know that someone more powerful than us has our best interests at heart?! But do you know something else? Sometimes, we forget that one of the many means in which God helps us is through the practical assistance of others.

I love watching, admiring and photographing natural creation! This beautiful picture here in my post is not mine (but courtesy of Pinterest). I chose it because one bird is feeding the other. It reminds me of the day I witnessed two finches on the rail of our front porch. One stood still as the other fed bird seed into its mouth. I was so moved by such a loving gesture. Now, just think about it--if animals know how to and do care for one another, how much moreso we humans (created in God and his son's image) have the ability to show and express genuine love among ourselves!

Sometimes, we may feel like God's promise to take care of us means that he is going to perform miracles in our behalf. And perhaps he will, but does it mean it will come in the form that we expect? When we're used to being strong and independent, it's extremely hard to ask for help (even when we need it.) However, there are times when God's way of sustaining us is through the helping hands of others who lovingly and willingly offer to share what they have with us.

So, these are my inspirational thoughts for the day. Sharing is caring.
