Family-friendly Day Trip

Hello, nature lovers! Family-friendly getaways don't have to put a huge punch in your wallet. As most of you probably know, my husband and I love, love, love the mountains! They're also a favorite place of our son, and every year, he joins us on our family vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains in TN. Several other times throughout the year, my husband and I take day trips to the area as well.

We are extremely partial to Cades Cove and find ourselves making many drives to it each time we go. On our most recent trip a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I had some very exciting encounters with three bears! You can click here to read about them.

Whether you're traveling with your family through your own home state or another state, you can find fun and educational stops along the way that everyone will enjoy. And remember, it doesn't have to cost a fortune!
