Intelligent Tots is an early childhood learning center and daycare program that offers a variety of services to infants and children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age.  Intelligent Tots is certified and specialized to offer services to infants and children that present with special needs diagnosis.

Child Safety

 

Intelligent Tots guarantees close supervision and personal attention to all of our infants and youth.  Our professional and personal philosophy and focus is to provide essential a quality services to all of our youth and their families.  We have hired and retained personnel trained in Early Childhood Services, First Aid, and other State of Michigan Child Welfare and Head Start mandates.  

 

The Center is 2500 sq. ft. and located in a thriving neighborhood in the City of Detroit making it easily accessible to all families.  

 

 

Our Owner

Intelligent-Tots Early Learning Center is owned and operated by Kenyetta Scott.  Mrs. Scott-Brown completed her Masters of Science in Counseling/Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix, and Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Social Criminal Justice from Central Michigan University.

 

She is an experienced child care provider, and has offered quality day care services for the last 7 years.  Mrs. Scott-Brown has expansive knowledge in best practices for early childcare and Head Start programs.   She has held licensure and certification for the last 11 years as a Mental Health Therapist/Trauma Specialist.  Populations she also specializes in serving, outside of her personal day care center, are foster care youth, juvenile delinquents, and their families.

 

Mrs. Scott-Brown also engaged as a Behavioral Specialist for a year at Bradford Academy. Additional certifications she currently possesses are:

 

Traumatic Crisis Intervention, Trauma Specialists-Clinical, Professional HIPPA Certification, Deep Brain Development, First AID, CPR, Family Team Meeting 

Facilitator, Motivational Interviewing, Child Welfare Training Institute, Self-Efficacy Training, Blood Borne Pathogens, Principles of Child Development, Theories of Child Development, Special Populations, Infant, Toddlers and Preschool Development and Circle of Courage.  

 

This wealth of knowledge and experience has allowed Intelliigent Tots to attain and maintain an excellent reputation in the child care industry, and offered the Center an opportunity to expand services that will reach more infants, young children, youth, and families in their communities.
